Hackers, lawyers, journalists,and people just generally concerned about the government’s new data retention laws gathered in Melbourne last night for the Thoughtworks #Cryptoparty.
We learned how to encrypt our communications and protect our online privacy from people who may be watching, be they in government or Google.
Greens Senator Scott Ludlum – who’s touring Cryptopartys across Australia – and human rights lawyer Lizzie O’Shea made an appearance and spoke to Catalyst. Here’s a sneak peak. More to come.
