I swear I still feel you,
Your presence.
I turn, hoping to at long last see you,
Only to be confronted by your absence.
I promise it’s true,
Your voice
It’s haunting me and it’s stalking me,
I can’t ignore it, as if I have no choice.
Your warmth is there,
Heating me from the inside,
And yet when I look for physicality,
There’s no heat source in sight.
Evidently, I still can’t let you go,
Your silence scares me so I fill it with your noise,
It’s like we both can’t say goodbye,
Holding onto each other in the void.
